BIO

I’ve been passionate about sports and fitness since I can remember. I always excelled at Physical Education in school and played football to high standard up until my late teens. My Dad introduced me to weight training when I was 15 years old and it’s been my passion ever since. I’ve worked in gyms on and off since I was 18 years old, I loved the social aspect, educating people on fitness and helping them achieve results and improve their confidence.

I moved over to New York for a couple of years in my early 20s to coach football. Then I did a sports science degree prior to joining the fire service.

In August 2014 I co-founded the company Firehouse Fitness Ltd. I blended a passion & expertise in health & fitness with my job as Firefighter to create a unique workout experience. Firehouse Fitness has been a huge success that has that has enabled me to open two fitness facilities in Leeds & Sheffield. The inspiration behind the gym/concept is it’s everything I like about training. I was sick of training in gyms that didn’t have the facilities I enjoyed using.

Outside of the gym I enjoy socialising with my friends and family, I enjoy walking, going to the cinema and finding a good box set to enjoy with my other half. I tend to spend my time off in Newcastle where I am originally from and this is where my family are based.

BIO

Since 2014 I have pursued health and fitness through an array of outlets; from cardio, bootcamp and lifting weights in the gym to now pursuing Olympic Weightlifting and CrossFit.

Currently, I train 5-6 days per week with a core focus on developing strength and athleticism.

I have a history competing in both Oly lifting and CrossFit and thoroughly enjoy exceeding my own expectations.To compliment this, I have gained a degree in sport science and intend to attain a masters in the field of nutrition. Aside from training and education, you will find me

Hi, I’m Luke! I love helping people to achieve their goals and become the best versions of themselves.

I’ve taken it upon myself to make my passion for strength and fitness into a career and become highly knowledgeable in this field, continuously learning as much as possible.

As a competitive Powerlifter I’m a big believer in strength, setting goals, following a program and the positive effects this has on your body, mindset and day to day. I enjoy helping people improve their technique and helping them move better so if you need a hand with anything give me a shout and if I can help, I will!

BIO

Fitness has always been a big part of my life though it started away from the gym and on the football pitch. I played at academy and district level as a schoolboy and ended up playing semi-professional at 16.

Though I qualified as a Level 2 gym instructor in 2011, it wasn’t until 2014 when I began taking the gym seriously. It was after training seriously for a few months I decided to obtain my Level 3 personal training qualification and have worked at various commercial and private gyms since.

I am currently completing my 2nd degree in Physiotherapy. I am a self-confessed “Granddad” and away from the gym, playing football and university, I enjoy being indoors reading, watching documentaries and spending time with the 2 loves of my life… Liverpool FC and my Playstation.

My academic studies into health, nutrition and performance started in 2003 and finished in 2015 with the completion of my PhD in Healthcare Science. Since 2013 I have worked as an educator, content writer and health and performance coach.

My main passion is nutrition for health, weight loss and performance and this is the area I will be pursuing professionally at Firehouse Fitness, with my own health and performance analysis clinic. I using scientific techniques to provide accurate and detailed analysis and monitoring of health, nutrition, body composition and performance and use this information and my years of experience to offer easy to apply solutions to help people achieve their health, fitness or performance goals.

I am a Sports Coaching Graduate with a background in sport and fitness. Starting out as a fitness coach within football training young athletes to developing my career within the fitness industry as a group trainer and PT since 2011.

I am a keen runner and fitness enthusiast whose enthusiastic about being fit and healthy and love pushing myself to my limits.

I am all about bringing energy and drive to my sessions and making training varied, challenging and intensive for each individual. I have a desire to push people to their maximum capabilities in order to get fitter, faster and stronger and get the most from every training session.

I have developed a passion for HIIT and functional training designing conditioning sessions focusing on developing and testing cardiovascular, strength and core fitness.

The next things on the horizon for me are doing my Level 3 Personal Training qualification so that I can work more directly with clients just like myself who are passionate about changing their lives for the better, and continuing on prep for my first bodybuilding competition early next year!
