Hi, I’m Luke! I love helping people to achieve their goals and become the best versions of themselves.
I’ve taken it upon myself to make my passion for strength and fitness into a career and become highly
knowledgeable in this field, continuously learning as much as possible.
My fitness journey began in 2015 when I joined Firehouse Fitness Sheffield as a gym member. My original aim was to improve my fitness and get in shape. However, after being a member for only a short while I was absolutely hooked on the Firehouse Fitness training methods. Every functional training class & strength class were varied, fun, effective, and they helped me to achieve excellent personal fitness results. From this my passion for health & fitness was born and I decided that I wanted to pursue a career as a full time in Personal Training. Once I’d gained my Personal Trainer qualifications I was employed by Firehouse Fitness Sheffield where I spent the next 18 months training a client base with a wide range on fitness goals in small groups and on a 1-1 basis.
Fitness has always been a big part of my life though it started away from the gym and on the football pitch. I played at academy and district level as a schoolboy and ended up playing semi-professional at 16. Though I qualified as a Level 2 gym instructor in 2011, it wasn’t until 2014 when I began taking the gym seriously. It was after training seriously for a few months I decided to obtain my Level 3 personal training qualification and have worked at various commercial and private gyms since. I am currently completing my 2nd degree in Physiotherapy.
I started dance lessons at 3 years of age, and growing up dance became my main passion. I studied a range of dance styles and competed at championship level in Irish dance. But whilst at University I suffered from injuries, which led me to decide not to pursue a full-time career in dance. This led me on to decide to do my Level 2 fitness instructor qualification, as I was already a avid gym goer and wanted to take my training to the next level.
Hi! My name is Matt and I’ve been coaching people for over 5 years now, working
predominantly on making alterations to a person’s physique and their ability to execute exercises with precision. My passion lies in biomechanics and the body’s ability to contract muscle in order to stimulate a change. I spend a lot of my spare time trying to figure out the most effective way to use my body as well as how I can positively change my clients as well.
My name is Michael. I’m 22 years old, fell in love with fitness in 2015 and my favourite type of training is HIIT.
My own experience with exercise began with weight loss; before starting in the fitness industry I was very out of shape and unhappy with my fitness levels in all areas. I struggled with my weight and the motivation to do anything about it for years and it affected my self-confidence. After realising the benefits and rewards you can gain from exercise and consistency, I managed to turn my lifestyle around completely.
